Water Conservation Notice for Richmond Water Resources Department Customers
10/2/25 - Richmond Water Resources is asking its customers to conserve water. Typically, the water level in the water tank reduces a small amount each day and the tank is replenished overnight by pumping water from the well. Last night the water tank did not fully re-fill overnight. This is very unusual. Water is flowing out of the well and there does not appear to be a large leak in the system. The staff is troubleshooting the issue. Until the tank re-fills as usual for a few nights in a row customer are being asked to conserve water by using water for only essential needs and by eliminating non-essential uses like watering gardens or washing cars.
Please note, this water conservation notice only applies to customers of the Richmond Water Resources Department (Town Water) and does not apply to private wells.
The Richmond Water Resources department provides you with safe, high-quality water and tertiary wastewater treatment.
