A note from the Richmond Town Clerk’s Office.
Starting Friday, September 4, 2026, the Clerk’s Office will be closed to the public each Friday.
We have received an unprecedented number of requests to record documents in our land records.
Although this is not a Presidential Primary year, our town will participate in four different elections. This requires rigorous communications and reporting with the Secretary of State's Office, helping voters with absentee ballots, and keeping accurate records for nearly four thousand Richmond voters.
Projects within the vault and other areas in the Clerk’s office require our attention.
We want to continue providing our lovely town of Richmond and all of its residents with our full attention when you walk through our doors.
While our doors are closed, we will be busy working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly for both the municipality and residents. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to email me.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to try to meet everyone’s needs. There are resources available on our Richmond website: www.richmondvt.gov. If anything is missing, please feel free to call or email me.
Kindly ~ Susanne
