1/20/2026
Present: Ben Feinson, Amy Welch, Tyler Merritt,
Hannah Harrington, Alison Aiken, Trum Rittling and
Jean Bressor
Community members; Ian Stokes, Sam Pratt
-Welcome community members/public comment
-Mapping updates: online links, PDF, coordinate with
ACFC
Ian concerned about Trail Forks posting info about
trails in the Community Forest.
Also mentioned Trail Finder - the Andrews
Community Forest is going to post on this platform.
Sam is learning how to use Trail Forks.
ACFC wants to be able to make changes on the
website when needed.
Ian and Sam want to coordinate the management of
trail information online with the Richmond Trails
Committee.
On the town website, should ACFC put their trails on
the Richmond Trails Committee tab of the Town
page? - Yes, good to have in both places.
Ian working with Hope at Trail Finder. Ian did a
draft page of ACFC trails. When approved by the
ACFC group, it will be shared with our committee. It
will then be shared with Duncan Wardwell and he will
add it to town website.
Active trail conditions currently posted on Trail
Forks.
We will work to embed conditions on our town page.
Discussion of trail closure process.
Put on FPF and check with others about making a new
map for the town webpage. Hannah will ask some of
her resources, too. Will need to make changes on the
current map.
-FORT (Friends of Richmond Trails) update: Ben
Ben is doing one email a month to see who wants to
help support the Richmond Trail network.

Johnnie Brook Trail - Alison
Merritt Parkway - Tyler Merritt
Upper Merritt Parkway - Mike Donahue

Village Path - Hannah Harrington
-Plans for spring trail needs: OJR, Rivershore, others
Alison has cables for one of the Rivershore bridges.
RMT is going to purchase trail maintenance
equipment. They will train folks on using them. There
will be a dedicated shed at Maple Wind Farms to
store the equipment.
Potentially do our March/April meeting as an
equipment training meeting.
-Brainstorm outreach projects for 2026: e.g. article
in Times Ink, presentation at library, guided
community hikes
-Hannah will start our Town Report write-up and send
around.
-Alison will check with Josh about FEMA $ and
culvert at the beginning of the Johnnie Brook Trail.
-Approved minutes from November meetingunanimous
