I. Call to Order (by 7:05pm)
II. Welcome and Roll Call: Welcome new members. Volunteer for taking minutes.
III. Public comment for non-agenda items (7:05-7:15)
IV. Area: Outreach and Education: (7:15 - 7:40): Standing agenda explores what other
Recreation Committees do (e.g., history, successes, and challenges).
V. Business: (7:40 - 8:30)
a. Administration: (Sheri)
i. Approval of Minutes from previous meeting: May 3, 2022
ii. Minute Sign Up: Aug - Dec.
iii. Co-Chairs and Recruitment
iv. Code of Ethics and Open Meetings
b. Budget Discussion and Vote: (Ravi) $502 from RiseVT as a donation for
improvements to Browns Court remain and need to be used by the end of the year.
Ideas, motion and vote.
c. Area: Volunteers Green:
i. Set up for the Lawn Games - what needs to be done - part of July 4th
activities.
ii. July 4th Volunteer Sign Up and Activities: (Sheri and Kate) Update on
volunteer recruitment.
iii. Create a feedback/inquiry form: Purpose, start with the Volunteers Green
calendar, proposed questions, next steps.
d. Area: Funding/Grant Writing:
i. VOREC Feedback: (Ravi) Pending response back from the Dept of Forest,
Parks and Recreation
ii. Do we want to pursue Better Places? Requires 33 percent of the funds for
the project from towns or other sources, to crowdfund 33 percent of the
funding and the other 33 percent from the Vermont Department of
Housing and Community Development.
e. Next meeting: Do you want to meet in July or wait until August 2? Set agenda
items for next meeting.
