- General Committee Business::
Called to order at 6:30pm. Quorum confirmed. Approval of minutes from last meeting, 5/18/26, deferred to next meeting. No changes nor updates requested for tonight’s agenda.
- New Term Updates and Code of Ethics Reminder::
After a brief discussion, Jimmy moved to appoint Sam and Brad to co-chair the committee in the year to come. Seconded by Wright, and unanimously approved. The secretary position will continue to rotate among committee members. Members are reminded to complete the annual training and acknowledgement form required before August 31, for those serving on Town committees and boards. Sam gave a brief overview of the training.
- ACFC Workday Planning::
July 25, 2026, from 9-11am, was proposed as a tentative ACFC Work Day, to which the public is invited. Work will include abatement of the Multiflora Rose invasion. Jimmy will send an email to the Trails Committee to propose a collaboration on this effort. A leader for this effort will be appointed after consult with the Trails Committee.
- Meeting to Receive Public Feedback for the Proposed Management Plan::
On June 29, 2026, 7pm, the Selectboard will meet to offer the public a venue to comment on the ACFC Management Plan draft, for which a link is currently posted on the Town website. Sam will lead the special meeting with a short presentation about the draft. All Committee members expect to attend. Further feedback on the draft is expected soon from the Trails Committee and the Conservation Committee.
- Future Monitoring Plan::
Sam acknowledged that the Management Plan is a living document which needs to respond to the changing needs of the Forest. Monitoring wildlife and human activity in the Forest is necessary to ascertain these changing needs. The Committee will consider wildlife cameras, sound trapping, and costs and funding for monitoring. Information on industry standards will be researched.

Committee members confirmed the next meeting of the ACFC at 6pm on July 27, 2026. Dan moved to adjourn, seconded by Jimmy, and unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 8pm.
