The Town of Richmond removed trees around Town roads and is providing a Wood Lottery. There are 10 piles of large-length (> 5 ft) & variable diameter logs (see numbered images below). The wood will be delivered to a resident’s yard if it is easily accessible from driveway.

The Lottery will draw 10 winners for the 10 different piles.
You must be a Richmond Resident to be eligible for the lottery, one entry per household.
Interested parties can sign up for the lottery by submitting your first/last name, phone number, street address and email using either the online form (https://forms.office.com/r/ah9hnUFYMd), by emailing dwardwell@richmondvt.gov, or by dropping off a “Wood Lottery” letter request at the Town Clerk’s Office by 1 PM on Apr 16, 2026.
Ten names will be randomly drawn on April 16, 2026 at 1 PM at Town Center 3rd Floor Conf Rm A or via Zoom. You do not need to attend to win the lottery. Winners will be notified by April 17.

The winners of the lottery will be notified to instruct the Highway Department where to deliver the wood. The winner has 14 days to notify the Town of the delivery instructions, or another name will be drawn from the Lottery.
