This is the annual reminder about vacancies on Town Boards, Committees and Commissions.
-1- Go to https://www.richmondvt.gov/boards-meetings/vacancies-committees-commissions to view the current descriptions and vacancies for each of the Committees, Commissions, Boards etc.
-2- If you want to apply for a Board, Committee, or Commission TERM then use EITHER option:
*Print the application (https://www.richmondvt.gov/fileadmin/files/General/boards-meetings/vacancies-committees-commissions/Appointment-Application-Committees_2026.pdf), fill out, put in an envelope labeled
“Volunteer Search” and mail to PO Box 285, Richmond, VT 05477 or place in drop box outside the Town Office before DEADLINE

-3- Deadlines & Appointments
Please submit your application to: Volunteer Search, P.O. Box 285, Richmond, VT 05477, by email to dwardwell@richmondvt.gov, by placing it in the drop box outside the Town Office, or by submitting online form:
-April 8, 2026, for most committees, unless another date is specified below
-Water & Sewer Commission applications are due May 27, 2026
-Development Review Board (DRB) applications are due May 13, 2026
-Andrews Community Forest Applications are due April 3, 2026
-Delinquent Tax Collector applications are due February 27, 2026, Selectboard appointment after Town Meeting Day
Applications will be reviewed by the respective committees, with the exception of the DRB which will not review applicants prior to appointment by the Selectboard. The Selectboard will make appointments at their May 18, 2026, meeting for terms to begin in June. Selectboard will consider appointments to vacant positions throughout the year.
