RICHMOND BRIDGE BR#29
Replacement of Bridge no. 29 on US-2 in Richmond over I-89
DATE: September 21, 2023
TRAFFIC IMPACT:
-U.S. Route 2 - Traffic control will be present allowing for 1-lane of alternating travel.
-Monday through Friday I-89 both southbound and northbound passing lanes will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and both the southbound and northbound right shoulders will be closed all within the project.
PROJECT UPDATE: Placed concrete for the pier wall; Continued support of excavation on the east side of the bridge for abutment #2; Continued installing fill in front of the Richmond Fire Station.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning September 21, 2023:
Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
-Begin forming and tying rebar for the backwall of Abutment #2.
-Continue support of excavation on the east side of the bridge for abutment #2 work.
-Continue installing fill in front of the Richmond Fire Station to build up the ground.
