Replacement of Bridge no. 29 on US-2 in Richmond over I-89
DATE: May 8, 2025
TRAFFIC IMPACTS BELOW:
-U.S. Route 2 Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. will have minimal to no traffic interruptions.
-I-89 Richmond – Work continues on I-89 in Richmond south of Exit 11 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists will encounter passing lane closures northbound (MM 75.45 to MM 77.0) and southbound (MM 77.29 to MM 75.71).
PROJECT UPDATE: Began removal of the southern crossover on Interstate 89; Installed new guardrail within the passing lane shoulders near the new bridge over I-89.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning May 12, 2025
Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
-Continue the removal of the southern crossover on Interstate 89.
-Begin the removal of the northern crossover on Interstate 89.
PLEASE USE CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE AND FOLLOW THE POSTED SPEED LIMITS! SPEED ENFORCEMENT WILL BE PRESENT, AND FINES WILL BE DOUBLED
