Replacement of Bridge no. 29 on US-2 in Richmond over I-89
DATE: June 5, 2025
TRAFFIC IMPACTS BELOW:
-U.S. Route 2 Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. will have traffic control present allowing for alternate one-way traffic with minimal traffic interruptions.
-I-89 Richmond – No anticipated traffic impacts.
PROJECT UPDATE: Began paving on U.S. Route 2; Topsoil and seeding throughout the project limits; Completed the guardrail installation; Project clean-up continued.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning June 9, 2025
Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
-Weather permitting, installation of pavement markings.
-Weather permitting, paving of driveway tie-ins.
-Continue restoration of the ditch line within the staging area on the northwest end of the project.
-Continue with project wide clean-up work along U.S. Route 2.
PLEASE USE CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE AND FOLLOW THE POSTED SPEED LIMITS! SPEED ENFORCEMENT WILL BE PRESENT, AND FINES WILL BE DOUBLED
