Billingsley summarized that he is helping with the engineering side of the replacement of existing water main, some of it is 1950s era cast iron, some of its AC pipe. Billingsley presented the Tilden Ave, Bridge St and Cochran Rd sections.
Billingsley stated that there's a Town attorney certificate that needs to be signed off, showing that easements have been signed by all parties.
Billinsley confirmed that they decided to push it to next year, let the dust settle on the easements, get a good bid season, then get someone under contract this fall or early winter, and start in the spring. Billingsley stated that it would be daytime work. Billingsley reviewed that private homeowners may reach out to contractors to upgrade the house service line at their cost.
Cote stated that almost all of the lines in Town are Type K copper.
Billingsley reviewed that they could use the bid items for a 2-inch or 4-inch service line to punch to the edge of an existing curb stop.
