Overnight Shelter Option and Day Shelter for Saturday

Due to the winter storm and loss of power for several residents in Richmond, The Town Center at 203 Bridge St. Richmond, VT, will be open on Saturday, December 24, from 8 am until 4 pm as a warming shelter. The Town Center has power, bathrooms, a microwave, outlets to charge phones, and places to sit and relax. Please stop by if you need some of these services. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors.

The State has announced that the Barre Auditorium at 20 Auditorium Hill Barre, VT 05641 is open as an overnight shelter. You can find more information on this website.

A few reminders on safety during this storm:

  • The temperature is expected to drop starting this evening. The State is advising that everyone be off of the roads by 4pm on Friday, December 23, to allow road crews to respond to the freezing temperatures which will cause hazardous travel conditions.
