- General Committee Business::
Called to order at 6:26pm. Motion to approve minutes of last meeting, 1/26/26, will be deferred
to next meeting, to allow all members to review thoroughly. No changes nor updates requested
for tonight’s agenda.
- Trail Updates::
The ACF Trail Finder page is now live. The committee agrees to appoint Ian as the primary
admin for that page. The web address::
www.trailfinder.info/trails/trail/andrews-community-forest
The committee continues to review and update the property boundaries for the ACF TrailForks
page. Sam agrees to serve as the primary admin for that page.
- Buffer Map Updates::
Discussion included reaching out to John Hadden regarding a geo-referenced version of the
buffer map, for improved accuracy and better integration with user apps. Dan will be
point-person on this effort, with further review in March.
- Revisions to Management Plan:
The Management Plan draft nears completion, and working groups will assemble all of the most
recent revisions into a cohesive product for final review. Sam and Brad will collaborate to
produce an aggregate draft of updated sections. Sam will proofread for formatting, and Sonya
will proofread for grammar; all committee members are invited to review the final work product
and comment. ACFC will request interested committees serving the Town to review the
proposed Management Plan and offer comments and suggestions.
Further amendment and discussion ensued of the Education section, including consideration of
the safety of and alerts for Forest guests. Review of the Recreation/Education Appendix is
deferred to the next meeting.
- Closure
Committee confirmed the next meeting of the ACFC at 6pm on February 23, 2026, which will
include review of the Appendices of the Management Plan revisions. Wright moved to adjourn,
seconded by Julian, and unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 8:08pm
