The Richmond Selectboard is seeking volunteers to join their neighbors on the following Boards, Commissions and Committees. Information and the application can be found here:

Applications and letters of interest should be mailed to Volunteer Search, P.O. Box 285, Richmond, VT 05477, emailed to Town Manager Josh Arneson at jarneson@richmondvt.gov or placed in the drop box outside the Town Office. Applications will then be reviewed by the respective committees and the Selectboard

Water & Sewer Commission – These positions are to be filled by people who are current customers of the Water and Sewer Department. Meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 6 pm. Applications will be reviewed by the Water and Sewer Commission.

Development Review Board (DRB) – Conduct public hearings regarding most major land development and commercial projects and permit appeals. Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. ONE 1-year term for an alternate DRB member.

Conservation Commission – Develop planning tools for local natural resources and working on proposals to utilize the conservation reserve fund. Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm.

Housing Committee – Identify housing issues in town and devise solutions. Meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 pm; One alternate position to be filled, both running to 2022.

Trails Committee – Identify, develop and maintain bicycle and pedestrian trails throughout town. Meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7 pm.

Transportation Committee – Develop plans to address town-wide transportation issues. Meets on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. Two full-time positions to be filled, running to 2023.
