Richmond Town Manager
Richmond, VT. (pop. 4,100), a rural town in Chittenden County, is seeking a proactive, progressive community leader, committed to excellence, to serve as its next Town Manager. Richmond maintains a small town charm while being located along the Interstate 89/Route 2 corridor, just 12 miles from Burlington.
The town is governed by a five-member Selectboard, an appointed Town Manager and elected Clerk and Treasurer. The Town Manager oversees a general fund and highway fund budget of $3.8 million and 15 FT employees, plus a combined Water & Sewer budget of $900,000 with three FT employees.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in public administration, or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated senior leadership experience.
The salary range $70,200 to $83,886 plus an excellent benefit package are commensurate with this community’s expectation for continued excellence in town management.

Town of Richmond Police Officer
The Richmond Police Department is currently accepting applications for full time Police Officer. Richmond offers full-time employees generous benefits including health, dental, and retirement with paid holidays, vacation and sick time. Starting pay is $18.88 per hour with increases following training and annual steps. The salary range is $19.64 to $23.48 per hour based on experience. Richmond is located in eastern Chittenden County with a population of approximately 4,100 residents.
Requirements: Must be US citizen, 21 years of age or older, high school diploma and successfully pass a background check and gain entry into the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Academy. Successful applicants will be paid by the town while training.
